Behind the Name Aug 13 Written By Point of View You may be wondering what’s behind the name “Point of View”? We’ll we have a few reasons: We are built right by what locals refer to as “The Point of the Mountain” which describes the western end of the Traverse Mountains that juts out like a point, dividing Salt Lake and Utah County. Frequently, you can see paragliders and hang gliders soaring above us as this spot is home to our internationally known Flight Park. The Point is an upcoming land development project that will transform the area. The Utah State Prison will soon be moved which will open up 600 acres of land in the heart of Silicon Slopes. With the mindset of an ever growing population with so much potential, the State is developing an innovative, exciting urban area that will have businesses, restaurants, shopping all with a focus on economic and environmental sustainability. Last but not least, our community boasts some of the best views we’ve ever seen, with sweeping views of Lone Peak, the Traverse Mountains and the valley. So “Point of View” naturally became the perfect name. And as a resident (or potential resident) of Point of View, you get the best perspective in the ultimate location, at least from our point of view :) The View Just Got Better Point of View
