Local Autumn Activities We Fall For
Summer may still be lingering, but if you are anything like us, you can’t help but long for the sensory feeling of fall… orange-red hues on the leaves, the nip in the air and the domineering scent of cinnamon-pumpkin spice everything.
OKTOBERFEST AT SNOWBIRD
This is one of the BEST autumn events Utah has to offer! Aside from world-class skiing, Snowbird puts on one of the largest festivals in the state complete with German beer tents, live bands, great food and activities from chairlift rides to mountain coaster to hiking.
We recommend the pumpkin beer with a spray of whipped cream on top - don’t knock it til you try it!
HIKE IN THE FALL COLORS
It’s no secret that Utah is filled with many beautiful fall hikes. Some paint mountainsides and highways gold with aspen trees, others scarlet with red maple trees at full peak.
The Canyon Hollow Trail begins like others in the area, an offshoot of a trail that begins at Highland Drive near Draper Cycle Park and runs up to the Draper Alpine Trail. The twisting trail includes a modest 703-foot climb and is 2.4 miles in length. It’s the most wonderful hiking time of the year, with the leaves turning all sorts of colors and the air becoming cooler and crisper.
