New Year, New View

2022! Can you believe we made it this far?
New year means new resolutions. It is hard enough to stick to your goals, so why not make it easier by living somewhere that makes it all that easier to achieve them!

Spend more time outside

Studies show that spending time in nature leads to reduced stress, better sleep and overall better mental heath. Living here means you have access to countless trails in Corner Canyon to try out snowshoeing, hiking and biking. For the thrill-seekers, you are a short drive away from Alta, Snowbird, Brighton and Solitude ski resorts. Then come soak your sore muscles in the rooftop hot tub.

De-clutter and maximize

Organizing your space not only feels good but can also improve your brain health. Point of View provides several avenues for de-cluttering: walk-in closets, pantries, garage bike storage, daily valet trash pickup at your doorstep, and large storage units available for rent ranging from 6x6 to 8x10.

Although living at Point of View makes achieving your goals that much easier, we know that isn’t all it takes. Check out Huberman Lab’s podcast episode “The Science of Setting and Achieving Goals” for practical tools to achieve your goal and the neuroscience to explain the brain functions to get these tools to work most effectively.

Workout regularly

No need to link any studies here, we all know that exercise is key for a good life. Staying active can be a challenging goal, but it is much easier when you have a gym like the one at Point of View. With high-end cardio and weight lifting equipment, a freedom rock climbing wall, plus free fitness classes twice a week, achieving your fitness goals becomes a lot more fun.

Practice gratitude

Gratitude practice can improve your immune system, relationships and overall well-being. There are so many reasons to be grateful living here.
Everything is right at your fingertips and you have many opportunities to connect with the community around you. You also have on-site staff who care deeply about making your living experience elevated. So everyday, be sure to take in the view.

Here’s what we learned from Dr. Huberman:

  • Visualize the steps you would take to achieve your goal. For example, if it is going to the gym, picture yourself waking up, lacing up your shoes, and walking to the gym (isn’t it nice you can just walk there from your door?!)

  • Start doing any new practices to achieve your goals in the first 8 hours of your day to ensure the highest brain function. So if you wake up at 7:00, try to get in the gym before the afternoon.

  • Start to positively anticipate the time before you start the activity and after the activity to associate dopamine production with motivation. When you walk to the gym, start thinking positive thoughts and after your workout, consciously think good thoughts about this entire period.
